Privacy & analytics
This page explains how The Cosmo (thecosmohospitality.com) uses optional website analytics. It is written for guests in India and visitors abroad. It is not legal advice.
What we collect with Google Analytics
If you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to see page views, device type, approximate region, campaign tags (such as QR or Instagram links), and button actions like opening feedback, WhatsApp, call, map, or Google review. IP addresses are anonymized in our configuration.
What we never send to Analytics
- Your name or phone number
- WhatsApp message text or form notes
- Exact booking dates you type into a form
- Google review draft wording
- Payment or ID documents (we do not collect these on the website)
Your choice
Analytics is off until you choose Accept analytics. You can reject at any time. Your preference is stored only on your device as a simple yes/no value. Use the footer link Analytics preferences to change it later.
Inquiries and feedback we store ourselves
When you submit an inquiry or feedback with contact details, we keep that information in our business systems (for example Google Sheets) so the Cosmo team can reply on WhatsApp or phone. That operational data is separate from Google Analytics.
